Why I am an Atheist?

The Holy Books of God

Sow the seeds of death and destruction

Countless crusades and mindless jihads

Drowning humanity in the blood of innocents

Precious lives vanished in vain

In the name of almighty God.

Oh insecure humans, Look at you

Trying to comfort yourself through blind faith

Believing in manipulated fairytales without questioning  

Feeding the kids with lies and deception

Millennia worth of religious rhetoric rendering the 6th sense useless

How could the human race be oblivious to this self deception?

The sons of God and prophets of the Lord

The perpetrated symbol of love, peace and deliverance

Became the agents of chaos contrary to the popular believe

Wreaking havoc on our planet by dividing us religiously

Obsessed with God and religion, we succumb to the hands of

Religious mafias and self-proclaimed agents of God

Four religions with four different Gods

Waging a battle for spiritual supremacy

If there is only one God, Which one is real?

Out of Jesus, Allah, Shiva, Who created the universe?

Everybody knows the answer is Big Bang Theory

But our arrogance ties us to the imaginary utopia

Elaborate structures elegantly designed

Some of them are even built with solid gold

If God is omnipresent, why do we need institutions?

If God in omnipotent, why do we need a hierarchy to approach him?

Replace the religious institutions with schools and universities,

Let the real education guide our society.

If God created the universe in seven days,

Why life is only confined to the third rock from the sun?

There are Trillions of planets out of billions of galaxies,

But God is found and worshiped only on Earth.

Statistically speaking, chances of alien life on another planet

Outweighs the chance of existence of God

The concept of heaven and hell, what a ridiculous theory

Like a boomerang, we always reap what we sow

There is no judgment day; Karma is the payback for our sins

Angels the guardian of heaven and demons the ruler of hell,

Fictitious characters born out of an elaborate scam.

The only demon we fight is within ourselves.

Every atom in our body was produced out of an exploding star

Religion cannot redeem us, but Mother Nature will

There is no afterlife beyond death; like dust to dust

And ashes to ashes, we will be recycled atom by atom

Cell by cell by Mother Nature and will become

The ingredients of new life; thus fulfilling the cycle.

Where was he? Where was he?

Where was he when his beloved creations needed him the most?

Why has he forsaken the cries of war?

Why has he forgotten the pain of disasters?

Is he a sadist to let innocent people suffer?

Or are we the players of his sadist games?

As per evolution, humans are selected by the

Natural order to reign supreme on Earth.

Let’s renounce the imaginary God and religions

Let’s embrace humanity and science and unite for peace

A world without God and religion would be

A better place for humanity.
